Look past the star rating for:
- Recent reviews (standards change year to year)
- Specifics about teachers, class size and one-to-one time
- How the school handled complaints, not just praise
- Independent sources, not only the school's own site
- Video campus tours — the hardest thing to fake

Genuine video walk-throughs and interviews are the strongest proof a campus is real and as described. Cross-check reviews across several platforms and be wary of a wall of identical five-star posts.
